Lemon Cordial

Nothing evokes the taste of summers past like homemade lemonade! This recipe makes a delightful tangy lemon cordial which you dilute to taste. Add fizzy water for lemonade or freeze into refreshing ice blocks.

Ingredients: 

2kg caster sugar

1 litre water

30g  citric acid  (if you buy a 25g packs that will do)

30g tartaric acid  (if you buy a 25g packs that will do)

Instructions: 

Dissolve all together then let cool. Once cool add juice of 6 lemons strained - then zest of 2 lemons. Makes 3 x 750ml bottles of syrup.
