Choosing a comforter - tips from Tommee Tippee
Our friends at Tommee Tippee have shared some advice on how to choose a comforter...
Step 1 – Safety and Hygiene
Select a trusted, proven and reliable brand, BPA Free
The shield must be comfortable, not cover the baby’s nose and not too large for the Baby’s face.
The comforter must have a cover and be able to be sterilised, boiled and be dishwasher safe
Step 2 – Age
There are three Age groups:
- 0-3mths - Small
- 3-6mths - Medium
- 6-18mths - Large
Step 3 – Shape
Orthodontic: Flatter more flexible recommended for healthy teeth and gums
Cherry: Round shape, air filled, mimics teat shape, easier to keep in mouth
Step 4 – Material
Silicone: Clear, textured, silky, natural feel and durable
Latex: Brown, soft, flexible but wears faster than silicone.
