Choosing a comforter - tips from Tommee Tippee

Step 1 – Safety and Hygiene

The shield must be comfortable, not cover the baby’s nose and not too large for the Baby’s face.

The comforter must have a cover and be able to be sterilised, boiled and be dishwasher safe

 Step 2 – Age

There are three Age groups:

  • 0-3mths  - Small
  • 3-6mths - Medium
  • 6-18mths - Large

Step 3 – Shape

comfOrthodontic: Flatter more flexible recommended for healthy teeth and gums

Cherry: Round shape, air filled, mimics teat shape, easier to keep in mouth

Step 4 – Material

Silicone: Clear, textured, silky, natural feel and durable

Latex: Brown, soft, flexible but wears faster than silicone.
